After months of negotiations, Allied International Union is pleased to announce that Fordham has accepted Allied’s proposal to offer better health benefits to the Fordham security force. The new healthcare package will be provided at no cost to members of Allied. The benefits will provide a comprehensive health and hospitalization plan provided by the Atlantis Health Plan. Atlantis is New York's only doctor-owned and operated healthcare company, and its provider network is spread throughout the five boroughs, including three hospitals in the Bronx: Montefiore Medical Center, Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center and St. Barnabas Hospital. Fordham's security officers can obtain medical services from almost 40 hospitals and 30,000 doctors across the New York City area. Atlantis also has its own state of the art outpatient facilities where members can receive medical services without any co-payment fees.
Allied International Union looks forward to continuing negotiations with Fordham to increase wages.
